Welcome to MyFitnessCal ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"). MyFitnessCal is a health and fitness application developed and operated by RandomHit LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal data when you use the MyFitnessCal mobile application available on the Google Play Store. It also describes your rights in relation to that data and how you can exercise them.

By downloading, installing, or using MyFitnessCal, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

When you sign up for MyFitnessCal using Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account, subject to the permissions you grant.

During the onboarding process, we ask you to provide the following personal and health-related information: - Full name - Age or date of birth - Gender - Height - Current body weight - Your fitness goal (e.g., lose weight, gain weight, build muscle, maintain weight)

You may also provide information voluntarily when you: - Manually log food, meals, snacks, or beverages by typing text - Track your daily water intake - Record your body weight over time - Set and manage meal and hydration reminders - Communicate with in-app support

1.2 Information Collected Through App Features

Photo-Based Food Logging: When you use the photo scan feature to log a meal, you take or upload a photo through the App. This image is processed using AI technology to identify the food items and estimate their caloric and nutritional content. The image may be temporarily transmitted to our servers or third-party AI service providers for processing.

Calorie and Nutrition Data: We collect data about the foods you log, including calories, macronutrients (carbohydrates, protein, fat), and meal times.

Water Intake Data: We collect records of your water intake as entered by you throughout the day.

Weight Logs: We collect your daily weigh-in data as entered by you within the App.

Reminder Settings: We collect your preferences for meal reminders (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and health reminders (water intake, daily weigh-in), including the times you set for these reminders.

1.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may automatically collect the following types of information:

Device Information: Device model, operating system version, device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), screen resolution, and app version.

Usage Data: How you interact with the App, which features you use, frequency of use, and app crashes or error logs.

Log Data: IP address, app activity timestamps, and diagnostic information.

Notification Data: Information about whether you have enabled or disabled notifications and your notification interaction history.

1.4 Information from Third Parties

Google Sign-In: When you authenticate with Google, we receive your Google account profile information as described above. We do not receive your Google password.

AI Processing Partners: Our AI features, including food photo recognition and personalized nutrition recommendations, may involve sending data to third-party AI providers. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

2.1 Providing and Operating the App - To create and manage your user account - To provide calorie and nutritional tracking features - To enable food logging via text input and photo scanning - To track your water intake and body weight - To generate and deliver meal and hydration reminders and push notifications - To calculate your personalized daily calorie goals, macronutrient targets, and health recommendations based on your profile and goals

2.2 Personalisation and AI Recommendations - To use AI algorithms to analyse your logged nutrition data and provide personalised suggestions such as adjusting caloric intake, improving macronutrient balance, or modifying meal patterns - To generate your Weekly Summary, including average calorie and macronutrient data and AI-powered insights

2.3 App Improvement and Analytics - To monitor and analyse how users interact with the App - To identify and fix bugs, crashes, and technical issues - To develop new features and improve existing ones

2.4 Communications - To send push notifications for meal reminders, water reminders, and weigh-in reminders (only if you have enabled them) - To respond to your support queries or feedback submitted via email or in-app channels

2.5 Legal and Safety Purposes - To comply with applicable laws and regulations - To enforce our Terms and Conditions - To prevent fraud, misuse, or violations of our policies - To protect the rights, property, and safety of RandomHit LLP, our users, and the public

3. HEALTH DATA AND SENSITIVE INFORMATION

MyFitnessCal collects and processes health-related data, including body weight, dietary habits, calorie intake, water consumption, physical fitness goals, and related nutritional information. This is considered sensitive personal data under applicable privacy laws.

We handle your health data with the highest level of care. We do not sell your health data to third parties. We do not use your health data for advertising purposes. We do not share your health data with insurance companies, employers, or healthcare providers without your explicit consent.

We use your health data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the features of MyFitnessCal as described in this Privacy Policy.

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

Automatically collected data such as logs and analytics may be retained in anonymised or aggregated form for a longer period for analytical purposes.

Users between the ages of 13 and 18 should use the App only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

9. GOOGLE PLAY STORE AND ANDROID PERMISSIONS

The App may request access to the following Android device permissions:

Camera: Required for the photo food logging feature. We access your camera only when you choose to take a photo to log a meal.

Photo/Media/Files Storage: Required to allow you to upload existing photos from your gallery for food logging. We access your storage only when you explicitly select a photo.

Notifications: Required to send you meal reminders, water intake reminders, and daily weigh-in reminders. You can disable notifications at any time.

Internet Access: Required for the App to function, including syncing your data, AI food analysis, and receiving personalised recommendations.

You can manage these permissions through your Android device's Settings at any time. Revoking permissions may limit certain features of the App.

10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party platforms. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.

11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
